New Members Class
New Members' Class Date TBD. All new members are highly encouraged to attend, as well as Zion members who have not attended a new member's class in the past. This class will provde information about the history of the United Methodist and its beliefs, the administraive structure of the United Methodist Church, specifics of ministries at Zion, and other detailed information. Apply Now for SEMCO Scholarsip
It's time to apply for 2019 SMECO Scholarships. Each year Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative offers college scholarships to high school students who will be seniors during the 2019-2020 school year at $1,500 each.
Students are eligible for the SMECO Scholarships if they live with their parents or guardians who are SMECO customer-members, and have maintained a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Seniors have to be enrolled or plan to enroll full time in an accredited college, university, or trade school. The apllication deadline is Friday April 12, 2019.

If you are a "technical gadet" kind of person, Zion is seeking you to be a member of its newly established Audio/Video Ministry. Members will be trained to operate our current audio system and future replacement audio/video systems. Duties include assisting in the operation of the systems during worship services and special events. If interested, please contact Bro. Ike Harris or Bro. Roy Myles.
The food pantry needs volunteers to assist in bagging and restocking shelves. If you can commit to one Thursday a month, please see Sis. Cecilia Chandler or Sis. Janie Hunter. Hours are from 6-7 pm.
Zion's "Spring Cleaning" Church Bazaar
Spring is in the air; a time of renewal and to de-clutter! Zion is sponsoring a "Spring Cleaning" Bazar on Saturday, May 4th, 8am - 3pm. Members and vendors; bring your crafts, used jewelry, clothing, ceramics, tools, toys, etc. Each designated space/table is $40. Funds collected will go toward the Zion renovatoion project.
